Welcome To Salon Tel-Aviv, My Lovely People

We're embarking on a new adventure with this blog to share our story with all of you. Connecting with each of our clients on a personal level while they enjoy their time in our chairs is something we truly cherish. I feel it's essential to open up about our personal journey with all of you. While this may be a bit outside my comfort zone, I’m eager to share how we've evolved into the  hair salon we are today.

For those who aren’t already familiar with me, I'm Shimi Angel, the proud owner of Salon Tel-Aviv, situated in Sharon, Massachusetts. I possess a larger-than-life personality, and if you've had the pleasure of visiting my salon, you're already aware of that. However, to share my journey, I must begin at the very start—in Tel-Aviv, Israel, where my story began.



Throughout my upbringing, I possessed a naturally creative eye, yet I had no idea where it would ultimately lead me. At 18, I adhered to the conventional path of joining the Israeli Defense Force. Unsurprisingly, it was a period marked by strict discipline and limitations. While it imparted valuable life lessons, it stifled my ability to fully explore my creative potential.

Upon finishing my service in the defense force, I chose to embark on a career in a creative domain, leading me to enroll in an interior design school in Israel.

It was a revitalizing shift in my life, yet I recognized the importance of carving out some time for myself. I yearned to explore and discover the world. So, I did precisely that; I journeyed around the globe and immersed myself in its diverse cultures. It all began at a summer camp in the United States, where I served as an arts and crafts counselor. This marked my initial experience of living independently and earning money through my talents.

The multitude of experiences I've gathered from around the world has shaped me into the artist, stylist, and individual I am today. My journey with hair has truly spanned the globe—I'm not exaggerating.

For instance, while in India, I had the unique opportunity to give a man a haircut right on the street. That's just one of many memorable moments. Every single experience has contributed to my growth, both personally and professionally as a stylist. If you know me well, you understand that I will always share my honest opinion. I can be straightforward, but it’s always with your best interests at heart. My creative vision has been honed through these varied experiences, and I’m always eager to share it with each of my clients.

I have a deep passion for hair and take great joy in transforming your vision into reality. However, our salon offers much more than just hair services; it's a complete experience. Your time with us matters, which is why I meticulously curate the music, atmosphere, lighting, and our organic product line—topics we’ll explore in our upcoming blog—as well as all the little details that contribute to your visit. My goal is for our clients to enjoy their time here, connect with our stylists, and depart feeling revitalized.

I’m so excited to start this next chapter for the salon and I’m grateful to have all of you here for the ride.
